TESTIMONIALS

TESTIMONIALS

“Marisa’s 200-hour was an amazing experience in every way! I feel empowered to teach yoga in a way that is true to me while built on a traditional foundation. I have rediscovered my love for the practice of yoga through a more clear understanding of breath, postures, cues, anatomy, and philosophy.

Marisa’s teaching met me where I was at and brought me to my edges in way that has accelerated my personal growth and propelled me as a leader with the confidence to teach my own classes. The full week immersion at Beyul was magical - a powerful off-grid experience focused on learning, connection, and expression that was beyond what I could have imagined.

I highly recommend Marisa’s YTT for anyone wanting to deepen their practice and become a teacher - you will not be disappointed.”

Bill

“I recently completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training with Marisa, and I could not recommend this experience more highly.  Marisa is a kind, thoughtful, and deeply intentional teacher who built a truly sacred container that enabled our class to show up authentically and learn in its purest form.

I entered the training with a fairly narrow perspective on what the teachings would and could contain: I expected to walk out of my YTT with a deeper practice, but I had no idea I would leave with a deeper sense of self.  Marisa truly took the time to see me, and I am a better, more grounded person, having had the opportunity to learn from her.  This experience will forever be core to my being.”

Tessa

“Marisa’s training was both informative and transformative. I came away with a deep understanding of anatomy, philosophy, yoga history, business foundations, and vocal activation—all while learning how to confidently lead a Vinyasa class. The inclusion of the Ashtanga Primary Series was especially impactful; it helped me quickly grasp new postures and even inspired me to adapt movements from my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practice into yoga sequences.

The in-person retreat was intense, immersive, and incredibly rewarding. I left feeling supported, challenged, and connected to both my practice and my peers on a deeper level. Marisa is an exceptional teacher whose wisdom, clarity, and passion shine through in every session. I’m truly grateful to call her a mentor and teacher.”

Carlos

“Training helped connect me deeper to a practice and community that I have been seeking for a long time, and I graduated feeling not only like I had the foundational tools to be a strong teacher, but also the support system behind me to make it happen.

I really appreciated the range of this program, I went in knowing very little about yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, or meditation practices - and now I feel confident in leading a guided meditation or calling out specific muscle groups and anatomical features in my jail yoga classes.

I loved the hybrid-retreat format, which allowed me to fit this 200-hour training into my normal work/life schedule, then the retreat not only felt like a reward after almost two months of hard work, but it really allowed me to put into practice and digest everything we had learned beforehand.”
